A brand new collaboration between SIMRI and ATS

SIMRI and ATS started a new collaboration to provide Italian translation of information material for patients and their families

In April 2016, with the translation of "What is Respiratory Syncytial Virus", a new collaboration between SIMRI and American Thoracic Society (ATS) has begun. The collaboration will include the Italian translation of more than 10 “fact sheets” produced by the ATS for patients suffering from respiratory diseases and their families. The fact sheets are part of the ATS Patient Information Series and are very useful since they’re written in an understandable language and are full of advices.

The Italian version of the ATS fact sheets will be uploaded on SIMRI website in the next few months, and they’re likely to be uploaded also in the Patient Information section of the ATS website

The first translated sheet ("What is Respiratory Syncytial Virus", “Cos'è il Virus Respiratorio Sinciziale") deals with one of the most common respiratory virus, which can cause lung and airways infections, sometimes severe, especially in children under 2 years of age. The fact sheet gives information on how the infection is spread, which are the symptoms and how to prevent and treat RSV infections.

The italian version of the fact sheet can be printed and delivered to patients and family. You can download it here

This is the link to the English version of the fact sheet.
